L2D2 Design Studio: Our Story

L2D2 Design Studio, founded by Laneysha Young, started as an online graphic design service specializing in logos, flyers, and promotional artwork. The business has since expanded to include one-on-one work with children, hosting parties and fun events!

We’re thrilled to announce that in June 2024, L2D2 Design Studio opened its very own storefront at the Windsor Commons location. With hard work and dedication, our dream is to provide a space where kids and adults alike can have fun creating art while socializing.

What does L2D2 mean?
The name is a tribute to our family of five, with two members having names that begin with "L" and two with "D." The iris flower symbolizes our youngest daughter, and the word "Design" honors my beloved aunt, Desiree, affectionately called "Desi." While some say the name reminds them of a certain famous movie character, that’s just a fun coincidence! (Wink!)

About the owner: Laneysha Young

I have spent the last six years in education as a part-time paraprofessional and earned my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction in 2021. In addition, I hold a BFA in Graphic Design and an Associate of Science degree.

My passion is teaching and helping others discover what brings them joy—especially through art. I love sharing my knowledge and inspiring creativity in those around me. My goal is for L2D2 Design Studio to reach as many people as possible, inspiring them to pursue their dreams, work hard, and do what they love.

My specialty is drawing, a passion I’ve had since childhood. I loved drawing my favorite celebrities, people I knew, and especially enjoyed sketching portraits. The process of shading, measuring proportions, and working hard to capture a person’s likeness has always been fascinating to me.

Fun fact: I also LOVE to sing! If I ever had the chance to pursue another dream career, I’d probably become a music writer and start my own recording label.
