ART CLUB Q&A
What is Art Club?
Art Club is a creative and social space for young artists who love making art and connecting with others! Unlike structured art classes, Art Club offers a relaxed, collaborative environment where students can express themselves freely, work on community-based projects, and explore their creativity in fun, meaningful ways.
How is Art Club Different from Art Classes?
🧑🎨 Art Club is a social space for kids who love art to connect, collaborate, and create in a more relaxed and community-focused environment.
🤝 We work on group projects that may be displayed in the studio or shared with the local community — encouraging teamwork and pride in their contributions.
🧵 Members may participate in special events, both in-studio and off-site, like local fairs, school visits, or art pop-ups.
💛 Community involvement is key — projects may benefit local organizations, neighborhoods, or schools through public art, volunteer work, or creative donations.
💡 Fundraising projects may be included, where members help design, sell, or display art that supports the studio, the artists themselves, and causes in the community.
✨ Students may also complete personal art projects that were started outside the studio — including school assignments, gifts, or special occasion artwork.
🌟 Unlike structured classes focused on skill-building, Art Club encourages creativity, leadership, and collaboration, helping kids express themselves and make a positive impact
How often does Art Club meet?
Art Club meets once a month for a special themed art session. These meetups are low-commitment, high-fun, perfect for busy families looking to squeeze in a little creativity! Occasionally, Art Club members may be invited to participate in [optional] additional meet-ups outside of our regular schedule for community-related events, special projects, or collaborations.
Is there a cost to join Art Club?
Art Club is offered as a non-profit extension of the studio, meaning there is no cost to join or attend regular monthly meetups. However, there may occasionally be small fees for special events, field trips, or additional materials to help cover expenses. These fees are kept as low as possible and will always be communicated in advance. Participation in these extras is optional, and families can choose what works best for them.
Do I need to bring any supplies?
No supplies are needed for meetings — we’ve got everything covered!
If a special project ever calls for something extra, we’ll be sure to let you know in advance.
What ages is Art Club for?
Art Club is designed for students ages 6–11. If your child is slightly younger or older and is interested, feel free to reach out and we’ll see if it’s a good fit!
How long is the commitment?
Art Club is commitment-free. You’re welcome to attend as often or as little as you’d like. However, we do ask that you’re mindful of others' time and effort—especially if you begin a collaborative project or commit to something others are depending on.
Can Parents/Older siblings Volunteer?
Absolutely! In fact, we love when families get involved. Parent and older sibling volunteers are always welcome, and your help will be especially appreciated during special events, community projects, or larger studio initiatives.
Do you accept donations?
We would love donations if you are feeling generous and have any extra art items or supplies lying around or not being used.
Some things we are really in need of are:
Drawing paper (sketch, watercolor, cardstock, printer, construction paper)
POSCA markers, kid scissors, Elmer’s glue gallon,
