About Me:
Hello! I’m Laneysha Young, an artist and educator based in Jacksonville, FL. My passion for art began in Kennesaw, GA, where I grew up. By the time I was 8 or 9, I was sketching portraits and, in high school, I discovered my love for graphic design.

I started a graphic design business with a friend around 2007, creating a variety of projects, which led to collaborations with notable clients, including celebrity songwriter Sylvester "Earl" Powell. After earning my associate's degree from Georgia Highlands College, I joined the Fine Arts program at Kennesaw State University, further enhancing my artistic skills.

In 2010, I enrolled at the International Academy of Design & Technology to study graphic design, with aspirations of working for Disney. After graduating in 2012, I focused on my online business, deepening my commitment to art and design.

My professional teaching journey began in 2018 when I became a paraprofessional at J. Allen Axson. In 2021, I graduated with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, aiming to teach art at the college level.

In June 2024, I opened L2D2 Design Studio, where I teach art classes and host events. I am dedicated to making art accessible and engaging for all! My goal is to help build creativity, confidence, and community connection through my work!
